Purpose of the role

The Marketing Executive role provides effective and efficient support to LEWIS’ regional internal marketing efforts. This role involves taking the lead on, and responsibility for, ongoing marketing campaigns and related projects.

Key responsibilities and tasks

Local marketing activity

  • Takes a lead role in the planning and execution of marketing activities
  • Actively researchs and suggests ideas and opportunities to promote the company and services
  • Builds and maintains external relationships with journalists, partners, suppliers and other stakeholders/audiences
  • Supports the team with prospect outreach
  • Participated in brainstorms and training sessions

Advertising, events and sponsorship

  • Actively seek opportunities to promote and benefit the agency
  • Liaises with internal stakeholders on topics, speakers, content and promotion/follow-ups
  • Works in partnership with designers on associated creative and collateral
  • Manages events including speaker liaison to venue management
  • Manages costs and activity to ensure delivery is on-time and to budget
  • Ensures ample marketing supplies are available based on requirements
  • Identifys new requirements and provides solution ideas
  • Manages printing/production of marketing collateral, sourcing quotes and liaising with designers and printers/suppliers as necessary

Content and PR

  • Manages blog content and contributor calendar
  • Manages executive team speaking engagements
  • Manages award programme including identifying opportunities and the creation and submission of entries
  • Ensures there is a regular pipeline of news and announcements from the region, including drafting and approval process
  • Identifies and creates a regular pipeline of case studies for publication on external channels

Direct mail outreach and social marketing

  • Manages the production/creation of regular online and offline mailers
  • Suggests ideas for creative outreach campaigns
  • Segments and targets distribution lists, liaising with the sales team
  • Leads the social media marketing activity and ensures the region is well-represented
  • SEO and SEM campaign support
  • Main website editor for the regional site

Business development

  • Works closely with the team to ensure marketing is central to driving brand awareness and qualified leads
  • Monitors marketing qualified leads and flags/refers new business opportunities to senior team members

Reporting and analysis

  • Compiles and interprets reports for the newsletter
  • Monitors campaign performance data and contributes to marketing reports, including campaigns such as website performance, mailers, events, advertising and social media activity
  • Monitors and analyses engagements on social media and responds as appropriate
  • Compiles ad-hoc reports and/or analysis as and when required 

Systems and administration

  • Is a super-user of the team’s major marketing tools for social media management, content management systems and email [namely Act-On, Oktopost and Sitefinity]
  • Is a curator for the Marketing portal on the Intranet to ensure it is a destination for the global team to access current and correct assets and guides
  • Updates and maintains documents on the Marcomms server and other work spaces used by the team
  • Minutes team meetings and proactively helps to drive actions to ensure projects stay on-track
  • Manages administrative tasks for the team as appropriate


  • Supports the Head of Global Marketing and the wider marketing team on projects and initiatives e.g. announcements; collateral; social media and content creation
  • Is a cultural ambassador; promoting initiatives internally and externally; showcasing activities and achievements on Yammer and social media
  • Attends agency and industry events as appropriate to represent the agency
  • Seeks ways to increase knowledge for self-improvement and to improve the team’s ability to deliver results
  • Proactivly suggests ideas for new processes and tools to improve efficiency and performance of the team
About you
  • Strong marketing generalist skill set. Proficient across all marketing tactics and channels, including events, mailers and social / online.
  • Creative thinking and independent problem solving
  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)
  • Calmness under pressure and ability to deliver to tight deadlines
  • Well organised; ability to prioritise; attention to detail; a pragmatic approach
  • Energetic, confident, charismatic – a credible team player
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a PR, sales or marketing-related subject)
  • Experience with CRM databases such as SugarCRM
  • Knowledge of marketing automation platforms and some experience with design, photos, videos, HTML
